Union Pines swept Scotland County in volleyball Monday in a nonconference match played at Union Pines.

The Vikings won in three sets — 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 — in improving to 7-1 for the season.

Ali Polidori had 14 assists, eight kills and six digs for Union Pines.

Other strong performances for the Vikings included Morgan Prots with 15 digs; Anistyn Deese with eight digs, seven kills and three aces; Alana Kolb with six kills, two digs and two blocks; Alex Adair with five digs and four kills; Kaley Evans with five kills, five assists and five digs; and Emma Vacha with four kills and three blocks.

After playing Montgomery Central at home Tuesday the Vikings are set to travel to Purnell Swett Wednesday.
