The Patriot C.A.R.E. camps will be held next Monday through Wednesday, Aug. 3-5.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s camps will be conducted using the online Zoom platform and will be as interactive as possible.
They will focus on creating “champions in the game of life” and the basic fundamentals overall fitness as well as the words character, accountability, responsibility and encouragement.
The camps are directed by Pinecrest head coach Chris Metzger, who is entering his 29th year coaching and 33rd year running camps; defensive coordinator and former Clemson Tiger Antwon Murchison; and offensive coordinator and former Presbyterian Blue Hose Frankie Keller.
Parents are asked to email Metzger at firstname.lastname@example.org for the Zoom meeting ID and password that will be used for all three sessions.
“Given the current situation with the COVID, we wanted to still invest in our future Patriots and the youth of our community,” Metzger said.
Each morning session will consist of a brief inspirational message from a current or former Pinecrest Patriot football student athlete, a full dynamic warmup and a body weight workout.
This clinic is for boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade. Any one needing more information can email Metzger at email@example.com.
