The Bandit Flight Team’s flyover was held during a pause in the 2015 VGA tournament finals, on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m., Veterans Day. Play was halted for the fly-over honoring veterans. It was an unforgettable highlight of the 2015 championship.
Timed to coincide with the last note of taps, the Bandit Flight Team perfectly executed the “Missing Man” formation over famed Pinehurst No. 2.
Both organizations have confirmed they will repeat the flyover at this year’s tournament.
The Bandit Flight Team is a group of highly trained pilots who combine a love of flying with an appreciation for vintage military aircraft.
Based in Sanford, they fly to preserve the military Warbird heritage and to salute our veterans.
