The Sandhills Community College Flyers are one game removed from their second national championship in the last nine years.

The Flyers defeated Rochester 84-76 today (Friday) in the semifinals of the NJCAA Division III National Championship being held in Rochester, Minn.

After leading by one at the end of first half of the semifinal match up, the Flyers pulled away in the second half.

The Flyers will play the winner of Eastfield and Mohawk Valley in tonight’s championship game at 7 p.m.
