This is a thank-you. Just the other day, I saw the beautiful landscaping work that has been done at the Sandhills Woman’s Exchange in Pinehurst.

I’d like to start recognizing those who are responsible: thanks to Bart O’Connor Sr., his late wife, Martha, and a local company, Design Company Landscaping, for their time and their efforts to make this act of beautification possible.

I certainly know that many others must have been involved, but I don’t know their names. So, let this be the first of many thank-yous that are due.

It takes a village to make a village beautiful.

The landscaping project was made possible through a most generous cash contribution from one of our prominent local residents. If she made her gift anonymously, we so thank her. If not, her name should be added to the list of people to be recognized.
