I was angered by the recent publishing of a letter in which Steve Woodward slandered a local business. I don’t think The Pilot should stifle opinions, but I also believe you should have been more responsible in publishing the name of a business being slandered for no reason other than a political bigot was whining.
The local business named happens to be filled with people who have big hearts and tolerance for even the Steves of our community. Steve is someone obviously in judgment of everyone who doesn’t fit his idea of what our community should look like, and he believes only those with his ideology read this publication. How very close-minded and bigoted.
Sorry to disappoint, Steve, but I read this publication and I do not share your ideology. I am 50+ with no tattoos and married 38 years to a tattooed, career Army patriot.
Steve didn’t think through his comments about “tattooed punks.” Most of the patriots in our community don tattoos. I dare you to call them “punks.”
If you want to make changes in the world, be an example of kindness, not an example of bigotry, and intolerance. I am still working on my own intolerance for ignorance. Steve proved I need more work.
