I think the Pet of the Week feature is a great way to promote adoption of rescue animals.
We had a similar feature in our local newspaper in California, but they had one added piece of information. At the end of the write up of the featured pet, they would add a follow-up on the previous week’s animal. It would state whether the pet was still available for adoption or that it found a fur-ever home.
Maybe The Pilot could do the same and let readers know of successful adoptions. Thank you and keep up the good work of trying to find homes for some of the many homeless animals.
