In his July 28 column, Robert Levy’s facts and logic simply fell off the table. His comment that liberals hurt poor people is absurdly inaccurate.
Liberals in Congress have followed consistent policies that would raise the wage of poor people; provide more health care; lower the relative tax rates; provide better education; and more public services provided. Republican conservatives have blocked every initiative the help the lives of poor people.
Toward the end, Levy claims that if Caesar Chavez and Malcolm X were alive today, they would be “conservatives of the 21st century.” There could not be a more idiotic quote. In vetting your columns, you should require some minimal level of intelligence and integrity.
