It was with utter disgust that I watched U.S. Attorney General William Barr dishonestly flip the Mueller Report. As part of a long-running attempt to subvert the Justice Department’s independence, his duplicity is most alarming.

The Judiciary has enormous impact on our lives. When exercised properly, good laws enhance our well-being and protect us. When abused, they can have devastating consequences. These range from the execution of an innocent man in “pro life” Texas to the separation of families at our southern border.

Fortunately, the GOP attempt to “pack the state Supreme Court” was not successful. Helping to maintain a fair-minded and impartial legal apparatus is our attorney general, Josh Stein. It is important that we continue to elect judges that are not beholden to any party or ideology.
