U.S. House Democrats passed the American Dream & Promise Act on June 4. How can Democrats vote to grant citizenship to an estimated 2.5 million undocumented aliens?

This will incentivize coyotes to bring more people in poverty across the border, at exorbitant fees and encourage drug cartels to snatch little children from their mothers’ arms and claim they were families seeking asylum.

Why would the Democrats give priority for citizenship to illegal immigrants over legal immigrants? Why would Democrats prohibit the Department of Homeland Security from using federal or state gang databases to keep gang members out? Why would Democrats create job losses for Americans in poverty, especially black and Hispanic Americans?

What about children of U.S. citizens or legal immigrants who will have less teacher interaction? What about children or grandchildren, with less teacher interaction, turning to opioids, readily supplied by drug cartels coming across our southern border?

Before everyone gets so bent out of shape on this matter, lets make sure we understand that the original letter on this is so incorrect. It DOES NOT grant citizenship to anyone! The author of the letter didn't bother to check her facts. What a bulletin that is! HR 6 cancels and prohibits removal proceedings against certain aliens and provides such aliens with a path toward permanent resident status. Further, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or the Department of Justice (DOJ) shall cancel removal proceedings against certain aliens who entered the United States as minors and grant such aliens conditional permanent residence status for 10 years. The bill imposes various qualification requirements, such as the alien being continuously physically present in the United States and being enrolled in or having completed certain educational programs. Aliens who were eligible for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status and not disqualified for renewal also qualify. DHS shall remove the conditional permanent resident status granted to such aliens, if the alien applies and meets certain requirements, such as completing certain programs at an educational institution or serving at least two years in the Uniformed Services and being discharged honorably. Permanent Resident Status is NOT THE SAME as citizenship. Try learning about the topic if you are going to write about it. Facts really do matter.

There will be those that welcome the influx of illegal, and undocumented immigrants, that is until they are impacted by their presence. It raises the question, why those that come here from South America and Mexico are able to find employment when we have so many of our own citizens, squatters, living in urban government housing, government dependent , a subsidized society, that refuses to compete for the jobs being filled by the illegal/undocumented immigrants.

Democrats need a permanent underclass of ignorant, dependent voters to have a chance of remaining politically relevant. Illegals are the perfect source of such dependents, despite their not being allowed to vote. But they do in California and other sanctuary communities. Rush had a good suggestion - grant amnesty to illegals under the condition that they and their offspring will never have the right to vote. Anyone objecting will show their true colors.

There is no evidence that illegal immigrants in California can or do vote in state-wide elections, or for local political offices. Once again Kent, prove me wrong. San Francisco very recently decided to allow undocumented immigrants to vote, but only in School Board elections. San Francisco is not the State of California. I have no idea what else Kent is referring to by his assertion that illegal aliens vote in "other sanctuary communities".

And Kent, that is not a good idea presented by Rush, that would be considered willing to capitulate and indicative of succumbing to those not entitled to make such demands. Let's just stick with, and get back to, a legal process where immigration was not a political issue but one of legality .
