On Monday, June 10, my brother and were coming from Raeford going west on N.C. 211, and there was some kind of accident a few miles before you get to McCain. The police turned traffic around back toward Raeford, and then we turned right into no man’s land and it was raining hard.
Somewhere out there we pulled off on a side road to try to put an Aberdeen address in navigation system. A very nice lady stopped and we told her we were trying to get back to 211. She said for us to follow her, and when we got to an intersection, she was turning right and got out of her car in this downpour and came to our passenger side and told us to turn left and then take a right and we would get back to 211.
I could not get out of the car as I had surgery on my face and could not get that wet. I want to thank this very nice lady who stood in the rain and helped us. I hope she reads this so she will know how much we appreciated what she did for us.
Not many people like that are left who would go out of their way to help someone they didn’t know. Thank you very much.
