Regarding the Jan. 6 editorial “Village Addresses Backlog of Needs,” I’d like to express my appreciation to the mayor and Pinehurst Village Council for their disciplined approach to spending on special projects.
It will be an ongoing work in progress to determine priorities and real needs vs the latest fads. Better to be accused of plodding than find yourself short of funds after having spent your reserves.
A special thank you to Jane Hogeman for asking the tough questions and seeking real value for taxpayer dollars.
