Samuel Justin Kane, 34, of Southern Pines, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2020.
Justin was born on June 2, 1986, in Moore County, to Sean and Cindy Kane. He was baptized at Christ St. Stevens Catholic Church. Justin grew up in Sanford and graduated from Lee Senior High School in 2004. He attended East Carolina University and UNC-Charlotte.
Surviving are his parents, Sean and Cindy Kane, of Sanford; uncle, Kevin Kane and husband, Tom Skolnicki, of Raleigh; aunt, Nancy Berliner, of Sanford; aunt, Dana Kane, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; uncle, Andy and his wife, Vickie Auman, of Pinehurst; uncle, Sid and his wife, Belinda Smith Harvey, of Rehoboth Beach, Del.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Samual James Kane and Margaret Greer Kane; paternal grandparents, Raymond Currie Auman and Juanita Greer Auman; maternal grandparents, Howard Jackson Smith and Betty Eidson Smith; and uncle, Randall Smith.
Justin was an intelligent man with a beautiful soul. He was always very generous and kind. He worked as an electrician over the past several years in the Moore County area. He loved cooking, especially on the grill, and had a real passion for spicy foods. Justin knew sports statistics like no other; he loved sports and played basketball, golf and baseball in his youth. He was an avid reader. He most recently discovered the book of Paul, which gained his interest. Justin loved outdoors and had a green thumb as his mother does, which is something they shared and cherished.

A graveside memorial will be held Saturday, July 11, at 2 p.m. at Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.
