Marion Kenneth “Ken” Meredith, 78, of Pinehurst, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Ken was born on Jan. 12, 1942, in Bee Springs, Ky., to the late Elbert Meredith and Clara Bullock Meredith. After high school, Ken attended Murray State where he played baseball, a game that he really enjoyed. He also collected Hess Trucks and would collect each year’s model. Nobody loved life more than Ken.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy Meredith, of Pinehurst; his daughter, Allyson Presley Cunningham and husband, Eric, of Missouri; his son, John Meredith and his wife, Nicole, of New York; two brothers: Linuel Meredith and Gerald Meredith, both of Kentucky. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Sarah Meredith, Katherine Presley and Ryan Presley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clement Meredith.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst with the Rev. Chuck Vickers officiating.
