Mackel “Mike” Lee Reece, 66, of Seven Lakes, passed away Tuesday, Aug, 6, 2019, at his home.
Born on Feb. 4, 1953, in Surry County to the late Perry Reece and Dale Edwards Easter. Mike retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad. After retirement, he enjoyed golfing and worked part-time for Seven Lakes Golf Club. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his seven grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Brenda Hooker and three brothers-in-law, Buddy, David and Warren Presley.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Reece; one son, Joey Reece (Sally); two stepdaughters, Mandy McNeill (Jason) and Meagan Oyster (Curtis); two sisters, Joann Bennett (L.W.) and Donna Easter; brother, Ray Reece; stepfather, Don Easter; mother-in-law, Myrtle Presley; grandchildren, Paxton and Kinlee Reece, Mattie and Eli McNeill, Kayla, Bella and Levi Oyster; three brothers-in-law, Tommy, Steve (Anne) and Mark (Robyn) Presley; special niece, Tonya Bennett; and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
