PBS Kids’ ‘Odd Squad,” produced by Pittsburgh-based Fred Rogers Productions will feature Pinehurst in an episode scheduled to air Saturday, Feb. 29 at 4:30 p.m.

The Odd Squad is a fast-paced show featuring a cast of young government agents who investigate strange occurrences. The program targets early elementary school children to reinforce math and science concepts.

Saturday’s episode, titled Odd Squad in the Shadows, brings the Mobile Unit to Pinehurst to stop a villain who is stealing various objects. Written by Adam Peltzman and directed by Stefan Scaini, the show touches on Pinehurst’s history as the first location of a miniature golf course. Learning goals include shadows, colors, shapes, symmetry and patterns.

The Odd Squad airs locally on UNC-TV's Rootle channel, which can be viewed on television or online at https://www.unctv.org/kids/watch-online/
