A Cameron man was arrested after a domestic violence incident resulted in a female victim being transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital this week, the Moore County Sheriff's Office reports.
Walter Junior Ray, 58, of Heavenwood Road in Cameron was charged with one count of first-degree kidnapping, one count of assault inflicting serious bodily injury, and one count of assault by strangulation. He was committed to the Moore County Detention Center without bond, pending a first court appearance in Moore County District Court on Wednesday.
The Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic violence victim with serious injuries. The victim was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Moore Regional Hospital where she was treated for her injuries and is in stable condition.
