Sheriff Johnson began his career with the Southern Pines Police Department, then the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and concluded his career as the Sheriff of our fine county."

Fields and the Moore County Sheriff's Office staff expressed their deepest sympathies to the Johnson family.
