One of a Kind Gallery invites guests to stop to meet and visit with painter Terri Birkhauser and sculptor Jeff Albert – and view their beautiful artwork while enjoying a glass of wine and light snacks. This meet-the-artists event is scheduled for Saturday, June 22, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the gallery, located in the Belvedere Plaza, 128 W. Pennsylvania Ave., in downtown Southern Pines.

Terri Birkhauser, who resides in Pinehurst with her husband, David, and treasured dog, Theo, began her artistic career as a commercial artist in Milwaukee. Over the years, she has studied under many fine artists, and her paintings have evolved from realism to impressionistic to abstract – and points in-between. In her words, she tries to “convey a sense of expression and capture just enough of the moment to let the viewer escape into the painting.”

After a career in social work, Jeff Albert, who resides in High Point with his wife, Debbie, now enjoys time to pursue his passion – creating sculpture from wood – almost full time. His art is primarily an expression of spiritual themes, human emotion, and the drama of the natural world. He uses curves and flowing lines to blend seemingly separate parts together, and the results are peaceful and calm sculptures that beg to be touched and caressed. Albert will be offering a small piece of his sculpture as a door prize to someone in attendance.

“Please plan to stop and view the work of these two superb artists,” says a spokesman.
