A series of roof trusses going up on the new Fidelity Bank branch on Old U.S. 1 in Southern Pines collapsed Thursday afternoon, injuring at least three construction workers.
Two workers were taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Another was airlifted by helicopter to a regional trauma center.
An investigation of the accident is underway.
