The 13th annual Shaw House Heritage Fair & Moore Treasures Sale is October 9th, from 9:00-4:00. This FREE all-day event is a major fundraiser for the non-profit Moore County Historical Association who owns and maintains five historical Moore County houses (c. 1760-1820). The Heritage Fair offers unique vendors, baked goods, live music, and demonstrations of old-time crafts, treasure sales and farm animals for petting. There will be reenactors from the American Revolution to interact with and learn. The Shaw House (c. 1820), Sanders Cabin (c. 1770), and Garner House (c. late 1790s) will be open for tours. The recently restored tobacco barn and museum is a must see, as well. This event is rain or shine. Note: The Shaw House will be closed the month of September in preparation for this event. If you’d like more information about the event, how to volunteer, or membership, please visit, call 910-692-2051, or email 110 Morganton Rd., Southern Pines, NC, 28387.
