Join us for our Mini Masters Class as we celebrate The Art of Matisse! This month we will be painting with scissors, just like Matisse, as we create our own "stained glass" masterpieces.

Each Mini Masters Classes will combine art history, art appreciation, and creative time. We'll talk about the artist’s life, the world during the time that they were creating, and their style of art. We'll also spend time looking at pieces of work that the artist is famous for as, well as other pieces that they created that are less well-known.

There will be lots of time for students to discuss the artist and their impressions of their art as well – Why do we like what we like? What don’t we like about the art?

There will be movement and music and fun built in – our primary goal being to instill a love and appreciation of art in all who attend.

This series allows students to experiment with styles and different art mediums as well. We will draw, paint, sculpt, collage, and color.
