Susan Beaty


Moore Regional Hospital Chief Operating Officer Brian Canfield has announced that Susan Beaty, R.N., has accepted the position of Administrator for the Hoke Campus of Moore Regional Hospital.

Beaty is currently the Administrative Director for FirstHealth Oncology Services, a position she has held since June 2008. Immediately prior to her Oncology Services position, she served as Director, Inpatient Nursing Services for FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.

Beaty received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh, N.Y., her bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNY College of Technology in Utica, N.Y. and her master’s degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN.

Beaty was previously employed with Moore Regional Hospital from 1998-2002 as a staff nurse and as the Assistant Director of Nursing for the Critical Care and Telemetry units. After a period of service with Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, she rejoined FirstHealth with Richmond Memorial Hospital in August 2005.

Beaty’s other previous nursing leadership experience includes positions at Duke University Medical Center, first serving as Head Nurse/Clinic Manager for the Bone Marrow Transplant Program (1991-1996) and later as Nurse Clinician & Administrative Supervisor for the Department of Medicine, Hematology/Oncology Associates (1996-1998).

Her position as Hoke administrator will be full-time as of Sept. 2, 2013.
