A kindhearted gentleman working on Linden Road in Pinehurst, discovered a 6-8 week old male tabby with a badly injured left front leg. When he brought the kitten to a vet, he was told the leg would need to be amputated. During the exam, the man contacted us to see if we could help. Knowing we could not refuse this sweet kitten the necessary surgery, we agreed and Gipper’s leg was amputated this past Wednesday.

Brave little Gipper is now recovering at the shelter. He is sweet little boy who loves to talk and play!

Please consider making a donation today to help with little Gipper's surgery and medications. Your support is the reason we can help animals, like little Gipper, when they come to us injured and in need of medical care...Please donate today and help us continue our life-saving work!

UPDATE!! Thanks to the compassionate and generous community in which we live, we have reached (and surpassed) our goal for Gipper's medical expenses. We are so thankful to everyone who donated or help spread the word! Any donations above and beyond his expenses will go to other animals, like Gipper, who come to us in need. Your support means we can keep our doors open and continue our lifesaving work.

On behalf of everyone at Moore Humane Society, especially the furry and four-legged, thank you!
