It's nonsense to believe everyone will always be on the same page. Duh.

But what bothers me is how divided us as Americans are.

We as Americans need to put aside our political differences and look at the big picture.....

WE ARE KILLING THIS GREAT COUNTRY OURSELFS!!!!

If you cannot step outside of the box for a second, look around, and see this, you're too far gone to even realize this.

Do you remember the "Proud to be American" bumper stickers everyone was slapping on their cars when the towers went down? Do you remember the 4th of July the following year after 9/11? Do you? Did you feel like we were the strongest, most powerful country?

Where has this sense of pride gone?

My take on it is; Through the media. Through the media's countless intrusion into people's private lives. Outlets like TMZ, E!, MTV, hell even WRAL, have found that they can make money through reporting stuff that really is none of our business anyway.

People's lifes have become so boring that they actually CARE what kind of trouble Lindsay Lohan has gotten in. OMG Sandra Bullock's husband cheated on her! Jesus Christ.....

Don't even get me started on Tiger Woods. The guy is the best golfer, period. That's all I judge him by. Why does his personal affairs matter to you?

I was disgusted yesterday to read that The Pilot would actually publish an article concerning the apparent dismissal of Paul Jett. The guy is probably either angry or sad. What is wrong with you people? What if Worndorf and Bouser got into it, Bouser decided to "pursue other opportunities" would this be published to the public....probably so.....sadly...

The constant bickering and closed minded ways of the majority of people who comment on this site is sickening.

I won't resort to call out any screen-names, because I know no one on here personally (I don't think) but I do know, that there is consistently a closed minded attitude on this site.

Since they opened up being able to leave comments on the Pilot, there have been probably fifty blogs (or more) created that are either bash the Tea Party, bash Obama, bash Mexicans, Blacks, rich white people. BASHING YOUR OWN PEOPLE.....

Cut the hate out.

We have a big-ass bulls eye on our backs. Our enemies you can almost count on it are laughing, plotting and patiently waiting for us Americans to start killing each other.

Break the mold people. Love each other, as a whole. I've got plenty of enemies, but guess what? I know all these people personally. The people who are being judged and hated on are strangers. How can you HATE or even dislike someone if you don't even personally know them? How? Tell me? Really? How? I'd really like an answer. You can have a different opinion. You can even call somebody an idiot. But the hate...?

I hope that this get through to ONE person. Just ONE. I don't expect everyone that reads this to agree, but I hope that someone reads this and says...

"Wow, I was a big dumbass."

Until I piss you off next time and go out with your hot sister-and-or-cousin,

I agree Chuck, we focus way too much on the trival stuff of other peoples lives instead of the real issues with this wonderful country. I could have cared less about Tiger Woods and his troubles or Lohan , enough said. I am sure this is a total embarassment to them BUT this is what sells!! Not that I am buying. George Clooney has been trying to put a stop to this for years since Princess Diana was killed. He told everyone to stop buying the rag magazines..you are only contributing to the problem. The more the crap that is put out there, the more people react ( to pointless issues!!). As for abdul...get a life. Seriously.

duh, Ive been saying that for years. people think that they are something because of a moment of enlightenment. Maybe chuck needs a pat on the back, but any elementary student can make that observation.
