Wrestling fans are in for a treat tonight as the Cape Fear Valley Conference dual meet between Union Pines and Western Harnett features seven wrestlers ranked in the top ten for their respective weight classes according to The Retro Rankings.

While the Vikings strive to remain unbeaten as team within the conference, each squad has some individual wrestlers that are well worth the trip to Bob Ward Gymnasium tonight to watch.

At 113lbs Viking freshman Samuel Bartram is ranked 10th in the state; at 120lbs Viking senior Phillip Mondi is ranked 2nd, Mondi is followed in the line up by 126lb senior Jaiden Lindsey who is also ranked 2nd at his weight class. Completing the Vikings' version of Murderer's Row is junior Ryan Hull who is ranked 4th at 132lbs. Western Harnett's Joshua Alston, a senior, is ranked 3rd at 138lbs. Senior Michael Zak follows him in Western Harnett's line up at 145lbs, Zak is ranked 4th at his respective weight class. At 152lbs, junior Dakota Roberts, ranked 4th, completes Western Harnett's trio of ranked wrestlers. Viking senior and team captain, Mike Brennan is ranked 1st in 3A and ranked 2nd across all classification at 182lbs. The Vikings will look to Brennan and senior Josh Huskey who is ranked 4th at 220lbs to score bonus points tonight.

As if the excitement of these great wrestlers is not enough, tonight is Senior Night for the Vikings, which will be sure to add to the always electric air at the Vikings home dual meets. The lights will dim and and the mat spotlight will be on at 6:30pm this evening.
