Well, last week went pretty darn good! Went 15-2 (88.2%) last week! Only Union Pines (what a heartbreaker) and Scotland County disappointed me last week. My overall record for the season now stands at 46-10 (82.1%).

I'm kinda torn on the games of the week for this week. If you like good rivalries or games with lots of hype, there is 2A Thomasville visting Albemarle (former YVC 1A rivals before Thomasville moved up to 2A), West Montgomery traveling to Jordan-Matthews (old Central Tar Heel 2A rivals back in the 70s and 80s, and, J-M and WM were also YVC 1A conference rivals before J-M moved up to 2A last season), and Richmond County visiting Charlotte to take on Butler at Memorial Stadium on Saturday evening (will expect around 20,000 people to watch this game).

But, if you want close games, here's what I'm gonna choose: Western Harnett @ Triton (current CFV 3A conference member taking on a former CFV 3A team that is now a member of the Eastern Carolina 3A conference), Pine Forest visitng Westover (both teams are winless and desperate for a win), and 2A Whiteville visiting Lumberton (a 2A versus 4A matchup and the 2A team beat the 4A team last season 10-7).

Now, will I have a perfect week this week? Well, as the blind man once said to his deaf dog, "We shall see ....."

Well, if I had to pick just one game to go to, Butler-Richmond would be the one. And, the game is on a Saturday evening with a 7:00 PM kickoff. Thus, you could check out some other game on Friday night as well.
