Well, last Friday night was far from dull! Last week was almost as good as the first week going 15-4 for a percentage of 78.9%. West Montgomery, South Stanly, Terry Sanford and Gray's Creek disappointed me last Friday night. Overall, my record is 31-8 with a 79.5% winning percentage. Could do better, could do worse, but I'm not gonna complain.

The games to watch this week will be Terry Sanford visiting Gray's Creek, and Marlboro County, SC visiting Scotland County. Hopefully, this Friday night will be a little more peaceful and less crazy and chaotic.

You are doing a great job on your Blog Reuben. What game are you going to Friday night? Hoke Co. who may be going to 0-3 is playing a very tough non-conference schedule which should have them ready once conference play begin. By the way do you think playing a tough non conference schedule is the way to go, should there be a mix or should they be fairly easy?

I'm usually at the Union Pines games. Will probably wind up being at Pinecrest-Richmond County on UP's bye week in October.

I pretty much would prefer UP and PC playing tougher non-conference schedules. UP needs to drop Chatham Central and Red Springs. I think the games with 1A teams does them more good than it does UP. As for Pinecrest, I'd like to see them drop 2A St. Pauls if nothing else.

Playing a tougher team will get you ready more for the conference games and, if you win, it can be a great confidence builder going into conference play.
