I am really surprised with so many people speaking out about fracking. The majority of folks that make all the negative noise have no idea or are not even educated on the process. They just see and hear all the bad news and think it is true! I am a true NC boy. born and raised here in NC. Last year I took a job with a natural gas company that does work on the gas wells in PA. I work on the fracking wells and see first hand the work and all the so called damage that it does to the surrounding environment, farm animals, water streams ect. I have not seen any of the damage that some of you people claim. I have seen all the great things that it has done to the small towns and economy of the rural PA farms. I spoke to one farmer several weeks ago and he told me that over the last 2 years he has made more money off his land by leasing it for natural gas than he has in the last 50 years of hard work trying to farm. He told me that the gas industry has saved his farm. He told me that he has never seen any animals die from the drilling and he know has all new farm equipment and is starting to rebuild his farm. As for the folks that say that natural gas companies will only pay minimum wage for the work....oh you are so wrong! I started out making $100 thousand a year with no experience at all. Where can a 50 year old guy with no experience find a job that this in NC? People wake up and stop being so negative. The gas has to come from somewhere, why not have it come from our own state.

I have a feeling you might be a little biased on this topic.I can think of 100, 000.00 Reasons. I think I would rather have the gas come from somewhere else.
