Biblical Message?

I just found out that the name Isaac means "He laughs." It is also the only Biblical name assigned a tropical storm this year. I'm no soothsayer...but is somebody up there sending Tampa a heads-up? Allow me this non-partisan satorial observation: VP candidate Ryan is taking the chinos-and-golf-shirt image a bit far. He's a nice-looking young man with great hair but I'd like to see him dressing more vice-presidential, instead of coming across as one of the guys at the 19th hole. Romney, on the other hand, looks stiff and self-conscious in jeans and a button-down with rolled up sleeves. His handlers must have suggested that he dress "like a regular guy" --- which he isn't, not necessarily a bad thing. But then if he wore $5,000 suits everywhere people would accuse him of being able to afford $5,000 suits. Of course they've all got bigger fish to fry but somehow, Pres. Obama carries off the relaxed look a bit better. You wouldn't want to show up at a rib joint (his favorite, in Asheville) wearing a white shirt and red power tie.

I'm always glad when the un-godly become interested in the things of God. Could be what the democrats are praying for will have the effect of causing something they did not want.

You know that if Isac happened to the Democrat convention the religious right would have said it was God's message he was angry at them. But of course these things can be used for any excuse.

Laugh it up, Ms. Salomon. Hurricane/TS Isaac, which did very little to Tampa, killed 29 in people in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, killed at least 7 in the US and did millions of dollars in damage. Hilarious isn't it?

Yet you are strangely silent about the fact that as the Democratic convention started, the US Debt Clock soared passed the $16,000,000,000,000 mark.
