A child with autism who needs to watch a show each day as part of their daily routine. An adult with developmental disabilities that accidently broke his dresser drawer. A person with cerebral palsy who enjoys playing on the computer or is able to type for communication. A family who doesn't have extra funds to purchase a couch because the mother is unable to work in order to care for her child with developmental disabilities. These are just a few example of why First In Famlies receives requests on a regular basis for furniture needs

Does anybody have a couch, bed, mattresses, dining table, chairs, dresser, TV, computer they no longer need? We currently have multiple applications with furniture needs right now that we are trying to fulfill. We have a truck and can pick up your donation if needed. Our chapter is a program of The Arc of Moore County, which is a charitable non-profit, and we would be able to give you a charitable contribution form. So, please give us a call or pass this information on if you know of someone that may have something to donate.

First In Families Mission is to help people with developmental disabilities and their families achieve their goals and realize their dreams.
