Fenced Freedom

Spring has sprung!!! And with it comes dates for projects we have had in the works for a few months now! We have a church group that is providing the expertise, labor and some funding to build a fence for a family that has a child with autism. One might ask how this is fenced freedom? The answer is very simple, for this child, who does not understand safety issues and lives close to a busy road and a pond near the backyard, a fence allows him to play outside within a safe area under supervision of his parents. They can give him space to play with less concern of a free unhindered bolt to danger. We are also helping them build community by connecting them to their neighbors through the church group! First In Families at it's finest!

Great story....keep up the good work that your agency does for the citizens of Moore County. I hope that those who read this story will help to fund additional projects. Post the address for your agency so that folks can donate to this worthy cause. If everyone who reads this blog would donate the cost of one round of golf, one bottle of wine, the price of one meal....I'm sure you could assist numerous folks in our county that need a helping hand!
