Many of us think that we can recycle pizza boxes. However, the problem is the grease/oil from the cheeses; etc. that pose a problem. The box itself is of course recyclable but the stained food portion on the bottom or sometimes the top of your box is what causes serious issues when breaking down cardboard. The answer would be to take a quick moment and cut out the soiled part of your pizza box to discard in the trash and recycle the clean part. It may sound like a hassle but it is the best thing to do and that's a lot of cardboard that can be reused and not sent to the landfill! Like anything else the more we do it the faster we create a "good habit!"
