Here's an open invitation to all the great Sandhills residents who have supported Tom Bernett and the Swing Street Band these past few years... come up and say "hi" at the Open House of my new teaching studio in downtown Southern Pines.

Saturday, September 15 - Noon until 3:00pm

I'm now located in the heart of the arts district at 234B N.W. Broad Street, just four doors south of the Sunrise Theater box office (on the second floor, above Swank Coffee).

I've wanted to have a facility in Southern Pines since I started teaching in the area 5 years ago. Now, the right situation has presented itself and I hope everyone will come and check it out.

The Open House is for EVERYONE... newcomers, parents, current students, former students, neighbors, and even interested strangers.

There will be Oreo's and soda, as well as evaluation lessons for any interested kids or adults. Plus, with my new retail license and wholesale agreement, you'll have the chance to review and order from a huge selection of music accessories and supplies at 30 to 40 percent off retail.

You can also ask me about "Time, Tempo, & Treats", my new idea for basic rhythm classes for younger children.... a GREAT way to help kids develop a sense of rhythm, have musical fun, and get a head-start on being ready to start ANY instrument.

And of course, you can learn about taking lessons at Tom Bernett Music & Drums.

LESSONS AVAILABLE: Drums for beginners thru advanced adults, as well as beginner lessons on trumpet, saxophone, and piano.
