Sunday was full of meetings required for the race. Rules were covered, then future expectations of how to do a dual fly by, what happens if you need mechanical work done on the plane, our schedule for Tuesday morning and the race.

We then had to go back to the airfield to deposit our logbooks in the plane. We can't enter the plane at this point without a race offical with us since they consider the planes impounded off limits basically.

A welcome banquet was held at night with a commissioner on the Port Authority there who read a proclaimation called "Women's Aviation Day/ Celebrating 100 years of Licensed Women Pilots" for Tuesday the start of the Air Race Classic. We also learned that we will have women Air Traffic Controller in the tower at Page Field, Ft. Myers FMY is the identifier for the airport.

My copilot won not one but two raffle prizes simulated diamon Airplane Earrings, and aircraft oil change. I won from a cosmetic vender some body butter to enhance my face.
