Well, my co-pilot arrived in time for the mandatory meeting at 10 a.m. and we were certified to go whenever the weather decides to clear. Thunderstorms perdicted for Monday and Tuesday the start of the race. Meetings and more meetings all day, plus getting the numbers straightened out since one side of theplane the numbers got messed up.

Banquet at night and fun things to do got our charm with the race route on it for 2011. They had a presentation for the ladies who have flown the race for 30 yrs, 25 and 20. These lucky ladies got to see many different races and destinations. They made history for Women Air Racers

Monday is a lot of meetings but we have the afternoon free so if the weather cooperates we can go out and visit Iowa City.
