It is time to hit the air with the plane and make my way to start. Yesterday the plane got it's numbers #42 put on both sides of the tail, I packed the logbooks for the plane, made sure all legal documents were in the plane, got the tiedowns, oil and such read to go. I called weather a few times to see where the front was moving and if it would be possible to fly to Lafayette IN today. First report was really encouranging but the second was not so good. Kentucky will have lots of bad weather so I may have to fly to a point west of my original landing to pick up Laurie on Saturday. I do have the one weather day so we will see how it works out. All of our sponsors will be having their name mentioned for whatever day we can use money to purchase fuel or whatever expenses so for today the following will be my sponsors (aviation fuel is very high $6.69 per gallon some places it take 14 gallons per hour to fly the plane normally so that is $93.50 per hour) last year much cheaper. Ms Hilde Dimond, Gregory Bartlett, Tina & Gary Stover, Janet Cannon These are in no particular order just what I think it will cost to get to my first stop. Thanks to folks who dug deep into their pockets to help dreams come true for women in aviation.

Will be packing up soon and getting the plane in the air. Hope to be north and west by this afternoons thunderstorms. Iowa City by tomorrow morning that is if the weather cooperates.
