Temple Theatre's production of South Pacific is a delightful couple of hours. We went Sunday afternoon on a whim, after seeing an ad in the paper. Of course, South Pacific is one of the great stage shows ever, and was made into a movie around 1960. This local production is surprisingly well done. The voices were stronger than I expected for the venue, and the acting was even better. Costumes were fun. It runs through May 16th, if you have any interest in catching it. It's not Broadway, but I recommend it as very high quality community theatre. There's a lot of talent here. Now, how do I get "There is nothing like a dame" and "hap-hap-happy talk" out of my head?
