Deacons have weakened

Boy, I don't know what happened to the Demon Deacons in the past two months but they don't even look like the same team we were watching in mid-January. Never a good shooting team, they depended on the inside game to get revved up, and complimented it with a fast pace up and down the court. But they have collapsed, losing 6 of their last 8 games, including today's embarrassment in the ACC tournament. I think you'll start hearing from the stands for a change in leadership now. This is the second season in a row that Dino's team has caved in at the end of the season. He did a great job in following up after Prosser's death, but you've got to wonder what's happening when his teams disintegrate when they should be playing their best ball. It's not just that they have been on a losing streak, it's that they don't even look like the same team. At times they don't even look like they are on the same team. The howlers won't get their way, methinks, because that's not WF's style. Dino will get at least another year, but that's not likely to be a good team. The Deacons are losing too much from the senior class and there's no one on the bench that appears to be able to fill the shoes of Ish Smith, L.D. Williams and McFarland. Next year, I predict, won't be a high water mark.
