Admittedly, a book is much more likely to be in the hand than a mouse, especially at home. But there is a blog that an old friend writes that I've come to love reading, and look forward to her observations. It reveals and reminds me of her true nature, as she is a special friend for more than 45 years. The central theme centers around food. Becca is crazy about Italian food in particular, but she's a southern girl who knows her way about that cuisine, too. A retired teacher, my childhood sweetheart mixes in wisdom, musings, music and mood into her writings. She posts well done photography when it adds something, and generally has created an ether space that's as warm as a winter kitchen and as cozy as your best friend's living room. Normally, I am not so much of a cook that I'd spend a lot of time on a food blog, but check out Becca Menig's "FROM 3906" blog (that's her house number) at http://www.from3906.blogspot.com. She'll pull your heartstrings and make you hungry at the same time. And you can find some really great new recipes to sate the hunger.
