If you are looking for something to do this weekend, consider the Shakori Hills Festival up near Pittsboro, beginning tomorrow and running through Sunday. The music is first rate, headlined by Bela Fleck and his band, along with Donna the Buffalo, which put on one of the great sets I've ever seen at Merlefest a few years ago. The music is presented on several stages, with various little events, like music jams and dance instruction, going on in tents and small spaces around the grounds. Bring a bag chair and a jacket and prepare to stay late. It just gets better as the evening goes on. There is plenty of good food available on the grounds.
