Palustris Festival Features Mark Twain

Keep an eye out for the illustrious likeness of Mark Twain throughout the second annual Palustris Festival March 24 through 27. Events include: Revelations from Mark Twain's Autobiography, a free lecture led by Larry Allen in the Dempsey Center at Sandhills Community College March 25, and a Mark Twain Look-Alike Contest March 26 at The Country Bookshop in downtown Southern Pines. The contest will follow a group reading of Twain's novel, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," led by various members of Moore County's literary community
