Jack Britt fumbled the opening kickoff of the new football season to the delight of a huge crowd of Pinecrest fans at the John Williams Athletic Complex Friday night.

Great game between two very respected teams. I was passing through Southern Pines a year ago and had nothing to do. So I attended a football game being played that night. maybe carrying your tallents into College level, will be the greatest victory in any players young life that will have a Hugh pay off. So for the lagging fans that print that this is just another football game, get with it. Get behind your team and celebrate your victories and forget about your losses. These are the young men that will be caring for you when you are unable to and will be building your community when you are long gone. You have a strong community, keep it that way.
