The following are highlights from Pinecrest's 69-3 win over Richmond Wednesday. One of four seniors honored prior to the match, Zane Excell led the Patriots into action. At 112 pounds, Cody Fitzgerald notched a takedown on his way to a first-period pin, before Clem McKenzie recorded a takedown at 125 pounds on his way to a major decision win. Garrett Bateman pinned his opponent at 130 pounds, and Nathan Frederique also recorded a pin at 160 pounds. Frederique's match, featured in its entirety, lasted only 20 seconds. Hawk George erased a deficit in the final minute of the 171-pound match to win 8-7, and Eric Soles-Moore recorded his first win of the season at 189 pounds, before Daniel Kieth posted a second-period pin at 215 pounds. Finally, the Senior Night festivities honored Grey Tampa, Soles-Moore, Keith and Excell and their families.
