Pinecrest Head Football Coach Chris Metzger accepted a Special Recognition Award from the Pinehurst Civic Club on Feb. 9 on behalf of the school. The civic group recognized the Pinecrest athletic department for its positive contribution to community spirit. The Civic Group also presented Dot Greenwood its Distinguised Service Award for her outstanding efforts to establish recycling programs in Moore County.
