Patriot Coach Chris Metzger

The Pilot would like to acknowledge all the coaches and volunteers from Little League to high school athletics for all they do for Moore County’s youth. This year, however, there is one coach who deserves a special shout-out — Pinecrest’s new football coach Chris Metzger. After inheriting a program that nearly flatlined last year, the dynamic and enthusiastic young coach has proven to be just what the struggling Patriots program needed. Not only have the players responded to his leadership, but also the community has rallied around the team. Yep, Patriot pride is alive and well, and football is getting a little better in Moore County. Here’s to many more seasons with Coach Metzger at the helm.
