I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't watch any of it, but I just have not been able to bear watching and listening to him, for a variety of reasons, but most directly since his uncivil, demeaning, inappropriate and insulting comments directed at Supreme Court judges in his 2010 speech, who were forced to take his nasty abuse like puppets. I was also put off by reports that the speech this year would be primarily political.

Felt compelled to watch it for column material. The president's idea of America, what's wrong and how to fix it is just pathetic.

And your unqualified rational to fix what is wrong with this country is ....? I watched POSTUS'O's speech and found it to be inspirational, poignant, and on target. I could provide as many of Bushes less that logical speeches, Starting with his 2008 speech on the economy and the failures of his administration. a downhill slide into another depression. Thanks to POTUS'O, that was averted.
