Southern Pines Primary School's Annual Read-A-Thon

Southern Pines Primary School principal Mary Scott Harrison took to the roof Friday, along with assistant principal Tonya Wagner, principal intern Marci Houseman, teacher Tracy Martin, Errie Andrews and p.e. teacher Aaron Ribet, to encourage the entire school to read more during its annual Read-A-Thon. After Ribet performed a reading rap, students, teachers, parents and volunteers took blankets and books down to the school soccer field to read together. Later in the morning, drumming teachers performed to "drum up support" for literacy.
