The Holly & Ivy Dinner – Tuesday, December 4, 2012
"Mad Men at the Holly Inn, Circa 1960," was the theme of the 2012 Holly & Ivy Dinner on Tuesday, December 4. The theme of this year’s dinner, based on the popular television series "Mad Men," was carried out during the cocktail hour in the Holly Inn’s 1895 Room, and continued with an elegant dinner in the Dining Room, with 1960's background music performed by the Doug Burns Quartet. John Love, portraying “Frank Sinatra Comes to Christmas Dinner at the Holly Inn,” was the featured singer. The event, which was hosted by raconteur Jim Dodson, and sponsored Pinestraw Magazine and Pinehurst Resort, will benefit the Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives. Photos by Al & Annette Daniels
