Major Damage--Firefighters battle a blaze Aug. 21 at a home on Henderson Road off Union Church Road in Vass. Heavy smoke was coming from the wood-framed home when the first units arrived. The fire was reported around 9 a.m. The home sustained extensive damage. No one was in the home at the time of the fire. There was no word on the cause of the fire.
